Whereas the members of the Parks, Recreation and Culture (PRC) Advisory Committee were invited and participated as individuals in a Port Hope Community Climate Action Focus Group (July 2024), and Whereas the committee members were invited to submit feedback through the Community Engagement process on reviewing the draft Plan (May 2025), Now be it resolved that the PRC Advisory Committee supports, in principle, the Draft Port Hope’s Sustainable Future – Community Climate Action Plan, and that the Committee requests that Council reflect Municipal findings relating to the Community Climate Action Plan in the Municipal Strategic Plan in order to establish Municipal climate priorities.
